President Bola Tinubu has submitted the second batch of ministerial nominations to the Senate for review.
His letter was handed to Godswill Akpabio, the Senate President, on Wednesday by Femi Gbajabiamila, the president’s chief of staff.
Akpabio communicated to the Senate that he had received the list and would read it before plenary was over.

On July 27, Tinubu sent the Senate a list of 28 nominees for consideration and approval. This list contained names of 21 males and seven females. They include Nyesom Wike, former Governor of Rivers State; David Umahi, Senate Deputy Majority Leader; and Nasir el-Rufai, former Kaduna State Governor.
At press time, the Senate was screening Nkiruka Uzoka, the 28th and final nominee to be screened by the red chamber from the first list. The exercise began on Monday.
