Washington D.C. — U.S. President Donald J. Trump shocked the world—and probably the entire animal kingdom—when he praised a South African lion named Justice during a speech intended to honor fallen American soldiers.

Justice, the now-iconic lion who allegedly ate three would-be farm attackers in Bloemfontein without leaving behind a single flip-flop, has become something of a folk hero in both South Africa and, unexpectedly, the White House.

During his speech, Trump veered wildly off-script, as is tradition:

“We are here today to remember our amazing, brave soldiers. But folks, I want to take a moment to recognize another hero—a very strong lion. His name is Justice. What a name. What a guy. He took care of three very bad people. And there was nothing left! Not even a shoelace. That’s efficiency. That’s strength. That’s real border security.”

But the real surprise came moments later when Trump added:

“I would love to meet Justice. We’re arranging it—maybe next week, maybe sooner. We’re inviting him to the White House. Right to the Oval Office. He can sit wherever he wants. On the couch, behind the desk—I don’t mind. He’s earned it.”

Sources confirm that Trump has instructed Secret Service to begin “Operation Jungle VVIP” to prepare for Justice’s arrival. The South Lawn is being reviewed as a potential hunting enclosure for the lion’s stay, and a special “meat-intensive” banquet is reportedly in the works, featuring five different types of steak, three interns dressed as antelope (as a joke, hopefully), and a 20-foot gold litter for his entrance.

Back in Bloemfontein, Justice the Lion remains blissfully unaware of the diplomatic frenzy. His owner, Oom Frikkie, was reached for comment:

“The last time I took Justice to town, he ate the bakkie’s handbrake. But hey, if Trump wants him, I’ll pack his passport and a few pieces of kudu biltong for the flight. Just don’t let him near Air Force One’s pilot.”

Animal rights activists are split. Some are outraged at the idea of a lion in politics, while others argue that “a lion in the White House might still make better decisions than certain elected officials.”

Meanwhile, Twitter has exploded with the hashtag #JusticeGoesToWashington, with viral fan art showing the lion wearing a MAGA hat and growling at reporters during a White House press briefing.

In a final remark that left everyone both amused and mildly terrified, Trump concluded:

“They told me lions can’t enter the U.S. without paperwork. I said, He’s Justice. He IS the paperwork.”
