A family-of-four have been found de@d inside their $2 million home in a quiet San Francisco neighborhood in the US. Police were called to 930 Monterey Boulevard in Westwood Highlands after a family member discovered the bodies of his brother, his sister-in-law and their two children at 1.23pm on Wednesday, October 8. The man, who had been unable to make contact with the family, was performing a wellness check when he made the horrifying discovery. San Francisco Police Department and the San Francisco Fire Department were dispatched. All four people were found unresponsive and declared dead at the scene. ‘This appears to be suspicious, and thats why our homicide investigators are leading the incident,’ SFPD spokesperson Robert Rueca told the San Francisco Chronicle. ‘It appears to be a criminal act, but there is no threat to the public.’ The SFPD Homicide Detail is leading the investigation while the citys medical examiner is conducting an independent investigation into the deaths. Rueca did not release any information about the victims or the kind of crime that was committed. While police are yet to formally identify the family, neighbors said the children were girls aged eight and 12. Belinda Hanart, who lived next door to the family for three years, told the San Francisco Standard: ‘We could hear the kids in the garden. We could hear when they have maybe dinner outside in the garden.’ She revealed that in recent months, she had seen the family less: ‘We could see movement with the car, and we were wondering if they put the house for sale or something, because we couldnt see as much movement as before. But there was nothing weird about them. Nothing. Just a family.’ The suburban home is estimated to cost $2,050,000, according to Zillow, and features four bedrooms and three bathrooms. The San Francisco Police Department Homicide Unit, which is leading the investigation, has not declared the incident a homicide.
