Former chairman of Vegetables Sellers Association of Zamfara, Alhaji Isah Haruna, has accused the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Zamfara state as being afraid of the opposition All Progressive Congress (APC).
While speaking with our Reporter in Gusau, he attributed the persistent call for the removal of minister of state, Defence, Bello Matawalle to this fear and not because of insecurity.
He said that the PDP knows that it would be out of power in Zamfara in 2027.
“I do not know why our people are too selfish, everyone only tries to kill the other, creating enemies and hate among themselves. All these crisis that are blowing across our State is nothing but hatred, that’s why Matawallen should be Minister, forgetting that everything is destiny, everything is in the hands of God, He determines everything.
” I also want to remind us that all these shouting by the people, whether from Zamfara or any other angle in this country calling for the removal of Bello as Minister will not work because it is God who made him the Minister through President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and it is only God that can remove him”.
He also described the people making the calls to president Tinubu as paid agents who are out to destabilize the political chances of the Minister.
He said at the time when the state only needs prayer for the intervention of God to rid it of the present hardship and difficulties, some undesirable elements among them are only there to turn things upside down.
According to him, instead of such unnecessary demand, they should try to assist the federal government and the Minister in their efforts to bringing the problem down, not just to be accusing one another, adding that, “all these are politics, and as long as they continue to politicize it, it will remain as it is, and this is not what we want”, he added.
The former chairman further explained that what he believes in, as far as the case is concerned is nothing but envy because they have seen the popularity of the Minister is increasing on a daily basis. Said, “the politicians in the state, especially the ruling PDP, are extremely scared of the popularity of not only Matawallen, but the opposition APC which is always receiving the supporters of the PDP across the state, so they are foreseeing their defeat at polls come 2027 election. That is why they are bent on seeing Matawallen out of office”, the former chairman stated.
He called on all and sundry, particularly those who are involved in such business, to avoid it and embark on prayers collectively for God to assist Mr President and his lieutenants in their quest to addressing the situation once and for all.
