An interdenominational prayer ministry known as ‘Iron Sharpeneth Iron’ is thanking God for the victory over insecurity scourge in Enugu state and socio infrastructural projects that are on going in Enugu state, embarked upon by Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah.
They prayed for the momentum of the developmental strides in Enugu state and security of life and properties, attained by the present administration in Enugu state to be sustained.
Ministers of the Gospel who belong to the prayer ministry,’Iron Sharpeneth Iron’ made the supplication in their prayers to mark the 2025 Annual Thanksgiving and Get together, held in Enugu on Monday, December 15th, 2025.
The event was hosted by Hon.Deacon Okey Ogbodo, the Enugu State Commissioner for Local Government, Rural Development and Chieftancy Affairs. Deacon Ogbodo is also a staunch member of the ‘Iron Sharpeneth Iron Ministry:,Ministers of God,An interactuve forum.
Pastor Amobi Nwachukwu in his prayers said it is by God’s divine mercies and prayers by Children of God that has kept Nigeria as one nation.
“Our prayers and those from other children of God is the reason why we have continued to exist as one nation against the plots of the enemies to destroy us.We must not relent in prayers to God Almighty to direct our leaders right.”.
Pastor Nwachukwu described Enugu state as very exceptional in the South East zone in terms of security. He said the security network in Enugu state introduced by Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah is gazetted, to a large extent has curtailed the rate insecurity to lives and properties in Enugu state.
He tasked men of God to remain steadfast in prayers against devilish plans to truncate the developmental strides that are on going in the state.
The President of Word of Faith Center for All Nation Inc.(aka Treasure City),Paul Japhet Ezecebego,in his sermon said these are really perilous times. That most Nigerians are under going strenuous economic hard-hit but only a life of satisfaction, embedded in the gospel of Christ can lead men to salvation.
He described insatiable quest for wealth as the reason for evil manipulations in every sphere of our human endeavour.
The ‘Iron Sharpeneth Iron Ministry, also prayed for the unity of Nigeria amidst the present upheavals, asking God to grant President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and others in authority the grace and wisdom to remain committed in service.
The Secretary to Enugu State Government, who participated in the Song and Worship session briefly, expressed gratitude to ‘The Ministers of God’involved in Iron Sharpeneth Iron Ministry, for their dedicated prayers to God Almighty on the governnent of Enugu state,led by Governor Peter Mbah.
He stressed that Governor Mbah is committed in doing everything humanly possible to enhance good governance in the state and requested for their fervent prayers in this direction.
The Enugu State Commissioner for Local Government, Rural Development and Chieftancy Affairs,Hon Deacon Okey Ogbodo, who is the host, said the gathering is all about Thanksgiving to God Almighty for sustaining his people amidst the prevailing difficult times in the country, describing survival as the reason for the Thanksgiving.
He described ‘Iron Sharpeneth Iron Ministry’ as a collection of People with common belief in the gospel of Jesus Christ, the son of God,Stating they often gather to share their experiences in the course of spreading the gospel, strenghten one another and render fervent prayers to God for peace and progress of the nation,etc.
“As Ministers of God,We evangelise the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ both in character wherever we are, in what ever we do, whether in the office or in the market, we demonstrate Chist in our character and behavior”, Deacon Ogbodo stated.
He disclosed that the ministry has existed for almost two decades, meeting on Wednesdays to exchange ideas and encounters for a few hours.

Prominent men including government officials, representatives of the traditional institution, Civil servants,Politicians and many other segments of the society, participated in the worship session.
The prayer and worship session was inter mixed with performance by the guest artiste, Munachi, who rendered gospel songs .Also by members of “Embrace God Choir,based in Enugu, among others.
