The Senate President acknowledged the rising cost of living and workplace pressures confronting workers, and assured that the 10th National Assembly remains unwavering in its push for a living wage, safer workplaces, pension reforms, and policies that protect the dignity of labour. He pointed to the passage of the new National Minimum Wage Act and ongoing workers’ welfare packages as evidence of that commitment.

He commended organized labour for its constructive engagement and pledged continued partnership with the Nigeria Labour Congress, Trade Union Congress, and other affiliates to ensure workers’ voices are reflected in policy and law.
