Since joining the UFC, Alex Pereira has been on a course to face middleweight champion Israel Adesanya. However, in his debut under the Jungle Fight banner, Pereira suffered his only MMA defeat to Quemuel Ottoni.
Ottoni defeated the kickboxer via submission in the third round. The 29-year-old is an impressive MMA fighter and currently has a record of 12 wins and just three losses. Ottoni also recently beat Junior Marques in the LFA 112: Welterweight Grand Prix.
Aline Pereira is scheduled to act on the same card as her brother, Alex “Poatan” Pereira, at Glory 77, on the 30th, in Holland. The 30-year-old Brazilian will compete for the super bantamweight belt (55.3kg) against Tiffany Van Soest, as reported by Combate.com this Monday.

This will be Aline Pereira’s third fight for Glory, the main kickboxing league in the world. The athlete, born in São Bernardo do Campo (SP)-, debuted in the organization in September last year, in Miami (USA), when she beat Chommanee Sor Taehiran on points. Two months later, she entered the ring again and knocked out Crystal Lawson in the 71st edition, in Chicago, also in the United States.
Middleweight champion Alex Poatan is part of the show’s co-main event. He, who holds the interim light heavyweight title, will face Artem Vakhitov for the unification of titles in this category. The Brazilian – who also pursues a career in MMA – was the executioner of Israel Adesanya, current owner of the UFC middleweight belt, in two kickboxing matches.
