Toni Braxton taking 60% royalties from ā€œLast Lastā€, Burna Boy reveals
The song ā€œLast Lastā€ is the 7th track in the 19-track ā€œLove, Daminiā€ album that is set to be released on July 8, 2022.

Nigerian singer and songwriter Burna Boy has revealed in a recent interview that American singer Toni Braxton is entitled to 60 per cent of the earnings of his song ā€œLast Lastā€.
The Grammy award winning singer in an interview with Wallo267 and Gillie Da King spoke on how it was his idea to sample Toni’s 2000 hit track ā€œNot man enoughā€ sound in his song. He said it was something he had always wanted to do.

Also detailing working with the producer Chopsticks and the process in trying to get the song cleared, Burna said: ā€œI just wanted to use that sample and I knew Chopsticks could do something crazy with it.ā€

ā€œThat’s one of the [most special] creative processes,ā€ he added.

What seems to have shocked a lot of Nigerians is the revelation of Braxton’s royalties in the song.

ā€œBut, she is taking 60% of the shit,ā€ he continued. ā€œBut I’m not complaining, man. Hopefully, she pops out at one of the showsā€, the singer shared while laughing.

The song ā€œLast Lastā€ is the 7th track in the 19-track ā€œLove, Daminiā€ album that is set to be released on July 8, 2022.
