Toni Braxton taking 60% royalties from āLast Lastā, Burna Boy reveals
The song āLast Lastā is the 7th track in the 19-track āLove, Daminiā album that is set to be released on July 8, 2022.
Nigerian singer and songwriter Burna Boy has revealed in a recent interview that American singer Toni Braxton is entitled to 60 per cent of the earnings of his song āLast Lastā.
The Grammy award winning singer in an interview with Wallo267 and Gillie Da King spoke on how it was his idea to sample Toniās 2000 hit track āNot man enoughā sound in his song. He said it was something he had always wanted to do.

Also detailing working with the producer Chopsticks and the process in trying to get the song cleared, Burna said: āI just wanted to use that sample and I knew Chopsticks could do something crazy with it.ā
āThatās one of the [most special] creative processes,ā he added.
What seems to have shocked a lot of Nigerians is the revelation of Braxtonās royalties in the song.
āBut, she is taking 60% of the shit,ā he continued. āBut Iām not complaining, man. Hopefully, she pops out at one of the showsā, the singer shared while laughing.
