The spouse of rapper Matt Getz wore pink to a cocktail party on Monday night to rock out at the launch of the Barbie movie, before delivering a scathing assessment advising followers who grew up with the toy to stay away.
Ginger Gaetz was one of the many revelers who walked the pink carpet to drink pink cocktails at the British Embassy in Washington, DC.
Her husband even got by with a pink sports jacket.
But she then said she was disappointed by the film’s values and slammed star Ryan Gosling’s “beta energy”.
“The Barbie I grew up with was a representation of limitless possibilities, embracing different careers and opportunities for women,” she tweeted.

“The 2023 Barbie movie unfortunately fails to address any concepts of faith or family, and attempts to normalize the idea that men and women cannot interact positively.
The film will premiere this weekend. But those in attendance, along with Washington Spirit girls basketball officials and politicians, got an early look Monday, as well as a chance to listen to director Greta Gerwig confirm a question-and-answer session.
The film was shot in the UK and stars Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling.
British executives see it as an opportunity to cash in on iconic American toys, highlighting the merchandising power of British films.
“The UK is Warner Brothers’ biggest base outside the US and Barbie was primarily filmed in the UK,” British ambassador Dame Karen Pearce tweeted.
“A great example of the relationship between the UK and the USA in the film industry!”
As a result, the ambassador’s residence, designed by Sir William Lutyens to resemble an English folk house, was transformed into Barbie’s dream home.

Afterward, attendees went to see the film at a film screening in Georgetown.
But a movie about such a beloved, impressive toy shouldn’t be without controversy.
Republicans are outraged that the film options use the “nine-dash line” used by Chinese authorities to show what they claim is 90% of the South China Sea.
This has sparked a backlash against the likes of Senator Ted Cruz and Representative Mike Gallagher, who have accused Hollywood of complicity in Chinese Communist Party propaganda.
Ginger Gaetz had different problems. On the negative sides, she mentioned: “A failed depiction of big dreams that caused fear instead of inspiration; Disappointingly low T from Ken; Unfair treatment of pregnant Barbie Midge.
“I really wanted to enjoy it, but in the end I felt let down.”
But Republicans are outraged that the film reveals the “nine-dash line” that China uses to say the territory lies in the South China Sea.
She additionally criticized Gosling in her tweet.
“He has a great beta energy in this game,” she mentioned.
She was rewarded, however, with Robbie’s effectiveness, costume design and soundtrack.
The film has been praised by reviewers for its departure from the potentially cynical money-making scheme of advertising.
“It’s actually very strange, conceptually slippery and often raucous fun,” wrote critic Robbie Collin in Britain’s Daily Telegraph.
