The United Kingdom and Ireland chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has congratulated former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, on his emergence as the presidential candidate of the party ahead of the next general election.
In a statement issued on behalf of members of the chapter, the Chairman of ADC UK and Ireland, Hon. Segun Sky Akinyemi, described Atiku’s emergence as a reflection of the confidence Nigerians continue to repose in his leadership ability, political experience, and commitment to national development
Akinyemi stated that the chapter believes the former vice president possesses the vision and capacity needed to inspire hope among Nigerians and reposition the country toward sustainable growth and prosperity.
According to him, Atiku’s distinguished record in public service and dedication to national unity remain qualities that continue to endear him to many Nigerians both at home and in the diaspora.

He added that members of the chapter remain committed to working for the success of the party and its candidate in the forthcoming elections.
Akinyemi, on behalf of all members of ADC UK and Ireland, also prayed for divine wisdom, strength, and success for Atiku as he undertakes what he described as a significant national responsibility.
