Lagos State Coconut Development Authority (LASCODA) has rewarded three of its staff for exhibiting exceptional qualities at work in the year 2022.
Speaking at the ceremony held at the Conference Room, Ministry of Agriculture, Secretariat, Alausa, the Commissioner for Agriculture, Ms. Abisola Olusanya noted that LASCODA has made a lot of giant strides in recent times to make Lagos State the Coconut hub, not only in Nigeria but the entire West African sub-region through her laudable activities.
She noted further that the achievements were made possible by the collective efforts of the officers of LASCODA. Therefore, in line with the Administration of Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu’s welfare policy and workforce motivation, this event was organised to recognise and reward three outstanding officers that had distinguished themselves in the areas of promotion, production, resourcefulness, and innovation for 2022.
The Commissioner listed the names of the outstanding officers as Mrs. Roseline Iyabo Oyepitan of the Finance and Account Department, who got the Award for the Most Productive and Resourceful Officer; Ms. Susan Abosede Adeosin of the Commercial Department, received the Best Promoter of Coconut Value Chain Award and Mr. Ademola Akorede Adeboye of the Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Department, was recognised as the Most Innovative officer for the Agency in the year 2022.
In her remarks, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mrs. Tokunbo Emokpae pointed out that the year 2022 recipients are to see their recognition and awards as a motivation for more commitment to work while enjoining other staff to emulate the dedication and commitment of the awardees
Responding on behalf of the recipients, Mrs. Iyabo Oyepitan thanked the entire staff and management of the Ministry of Agriculture and LASCODA for the recognition and awards, promising that they will be more committed to increasing the contribution of Coconut Value Chain to making Lagos a 21st Century Economy.
