Gabriel Clyburn, Death – The Lake Wateree drowning victim has been determined to be a young adult, the Kershaw County Coroner has ruled. A 911 call was made at 5:00 p.m. on July 12 reporting a drowning death at Lake Wateree in the Liberty Hill area, accessible via Singleton Creek Road. According to the coroner, David West, the call has been sent. Gabriel Clyburn, 18, was in the water with his buddies when he fell and did not resurface. He was reported missing after the incident.
