An unnamed Nigerian man has died in a brawl with a fellow Nigerian in Ventimiglia, a resort city in the province of Imperia, Liguria, northern Italy.
According to Infomigrants, the victim and the attacker knew each other before the deadly brawl ensued on October 14.
Both men were reportedly sighted earlier that day drinking coffee together at a café.

Witnesses said the pair were known to be best of friends who would usually visit the café together to drink coffee. No one had ever seen them fight or exchange unpleasant words with each other.
During the brawl, the victim, 30, was said to have been stabbed in the throat by the attacker, 29. The victim reportedly fell on a nearby pavement and was in a pool of his own blood afterwards.

The attacker, who also suffered wounds in the abdominal and chest regions, was initially taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. When his condition deteriorated overnight, he was transferred to the Santa Corona Hospital in Pietra Ligure, where he underwent surgery.
The reasons for the deadly brawl remain unknown.
