The police spokesperson further said that on March 16, at about 2:20 p.m., the command received credible intelligence that some unidentified young men had a suspected stolen vehicle in the Aso B Area, “near the Assemblies of God Church, Mararaba, Karu LGA”.
He explained that Police operatives attached to the Aso Pada Division promptly mobilised to the scene and upon sighting the officers, the suspects fled.

“A search of the vehicle led to the recovery of a number plate, NBB-52 TT, Nasarawa suspected to belong to the vehicle, a Nigerian Correctional Service beret, and photocopies of documents believed to be related to the vehicle,” Nansel said.
The PPRO said that preliminary investigation revealed that the vehicle had earlier been reported stolen on March 11, 2025.
The police spokesperson urged members of the public to promptly report suspicious activities and cases to the nearest police station for appropriate action.
He therefore, assured the public that the Command remained resolute and would leave no stone unturned in ensuring that all those involved in stealing the vehicles are brought to justice.
