The mass mobilization for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the advancement of his administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda are set to gain significant momentum with the unveiling of a new political movement, Tinubu Torch Bearers (TTB).
The unveiling of TTB, an initiative of the National Woman Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Dr. Mary Alile Idele, which is scheduled for Wednesday, June 3 in Abuja, marks the rise of another significant political movement aimed at garnering support toward the re-election of the president in 2027.
According to Idele, the new movement was conceived as a major pillar for the advancement of the president’s reelection, with a clear focus on sustainable growth, good governance, women inclusivity, grassroots mobilization, national unity and the enhancement of a better country for all Nigerians.
A release from the media unit of the movement read in part: “The Tinubu Torch Bearers (TTB) is more than just a movement, it is a nationwide force committed to carrying the message of hope, development and transformational leadership across the 774 Local Government Areas of Nigeria. With one vision, one movement and one purpose, we are fully prepared and united to consolidate the gains of the Renewed Hope administration and work tirelessly toward the re-election of Mr. President.
“This project is important because it creates a platform that strengthens grassroots participation, amplifies women’s voices in nation-building, promotes political inclusion and reinforces the bond between leadership and the people. Through Tinubu Torch Bearers, communities across Nigeria will feel the direct impact of purposeful governance and people-centered leadership.”
In addition, TTB is described as a bold statement which accentuates the utmost need of defending and communicating the gains of the Renewed Hope Agenda. “The vision of the All Progressives Congress (APC) aligns perfectly with this Agenda, and as loyal Tinubu Torch Bearers, we are committed to ensuring that the party’s progressive ideals translate into tangible benefits for every Nigerian, men and women alike. Every reform defended, every success story amplified, and every false narrative countered brings us closer to the Nigeria of our dreams. TTB remains committed to mobilizing citizens, engaging communities, and bridging the gap between government policy and public understanding,” it stated.
