After Guarantee Trust Bank updated its mobile banking software, users have been unable to use it for more than 48 hours.
The GTB set July 12, 2023 as the deadline for the Play Store and App Store releases of the new and improved GTWorld Mobile Banking App.
However, to enjoy the newly designed app, you must manually upgrade your GTWorld Mobile App if App upgrade is not set to automatic on your mobile device.
If you have App Updates set to automatic, you will notice a freshly designed interface when you activate the GTWorld Mobile Banking App.
From conversations with six GTBank customers tool lines , Our correspondent learnt that many customers cannot log in to the new app. With no explanation from the bank, GTBank customers have been targeted by fake help care accounts on Twitter.
The bank however apologised to some customers via email.
“We are aware that you recently updated your GTWorld App and you have been unable to log in after the update. We sincerely apologise for every inconvenience you have experienced in the last 18-24 hours,” the bank said in an email, and advised customers to use USSD codes for transactions.
